Inspirations from other films:
Characters wearing a mask to hide their identity, this will create suspense as the audience are unaware of the antagonists true appearance - The Strangers.
Have a random ringing phone from an unknown number, this would also create suspense as the audience would want to know who is ringing and why - When a Stranger Calls.
Handheld camera - Have the use of a handheld camera, to create a sense of unease and chaos - Sinister.
Opening scene idea:
The scene is set in an abandoned shed at night as this matches the creepy conventions often used in a thriller clip.
The camera pans round to show the shed and then a handheld camera is used as it approaches the shed and a creepy soundtrack is used.
As the camera opens the shed a young girl dressed in all white is sitting there with her hair covering her face.
Behind her is blood smeared all over the walls.
Then there is loud scream and the camera zooms into the girls face.
The points that you have included on your individual narrative demonstrates a basic understanding of what an opening sequence should contain and this is because your narrative is too basic.
ReplyDeleteYou have included some points, but it is difficult to see what you narrative will contain. This needs to be changed, so that further meaning is generated. This can be achieved, by considering your narrative in more detail and by focusing on the plots, themes, characters, etc in further deatil.
You also need to expand on the points that you have made on your inspirations, by discussing the examples in more detail.
Finally, you still need to explain who your target audience is and why?
